Some little projects...

Just a little piccy at the coffee shop of my little "Latte cosies," in use as always! They have been a real hit with the customers with lots of positive comments. We're pretty chuffed.

I've also been busy making a few other little projects,

First little project is the "Knitting Brooch".
I remember my grandmother making these for me as a little girl and I used to love them. What do you think?

Next, I LEURVE big flower brooches and here is a new one that I made last night with some variegated yarn and I'm really happy with it. It's started by crocheting a spiral (Front loop only) and then on the reverse side is where the flower comes to life.  I really enjoyed playing around with this one as I'll admit that I'm not keen on sewing the flower together at the base once it is made. This way the flower already has a nice stable backing to help it sit when pinned against your top/hat/bag etc... I call it "Big flower Brooch"

Now there's a blog you simply must have a look at, called "theroyalsisters".  Michelle has some fantastic vintage designs. Now as it was, my littlest man (he's 18months old) and I were both sniffing messes over the weekend and were going through the tissues at a rapid pace, so I decided that I needed to make a cover for the tissue box to make things brighter. This is where Michelle's lovely tutorial for a tissue box cover came into play. What do you think?...

Have a great day or night wherever you are and stay tuned for more...

Getting carried Away!!

I got a bit of an idea in my head last night and as happens when I get into "I have an idea mode" I can get a bit carried away, swept up, on a roll etc...
Here is the result:

I know you may have seen it before, or something similar at least but I couldn't resist especially when I had some odds and ends of Noro that I couldn't use for much else. What do you think?
